An Entirely New Field
Play-dough, Gak, Floam I loved all of these easily manipulated materials as a child. One other form of expression was Polymer clay. While my memories are of creating miniature fruit bowls, and discolored bead necklaces, Meredith Dittmar has something else to say. Her ornate sculptures using this medium are beautiful and serene. Reminiscent of Tibetan art, with the use of mandalas and ethereal beings, they have shed new light on what I have always assumed as being a craft item. Read her interview at FF here.
